The morning of 5th November marked the grand opening of the Wanda Plaza in Hohhot, which is situated along Xinhua East Road. Key leaders of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region and relevant leaders from the Hohhot Municipality, together with Ding Benxi, President of Dalian Wanda Commercial Properties Co., Ltd, mainstream media from Hohhot as well as business owners of Wanda Plaza, all came together to witness the grand opening ceremony. Based on our understanding, Dalian Wanda invested 6 billion yuan to construct the Hohhot Wanda Plaza, which comprises a large shopping center, a five-star hotel, high-end residential units, a 5A office tower, SOHO, commercial zones etc, integrating shopping, leisure, entertainment and F&B under one roof. The large shopping center is made up of a fashion building, an entertainment building, a department store building and an indoor sun dome walkway measuring 1,200 meters. The Wanda Plaza carries 12 anchor stores i.e. Van’s Department Store, Wanda International Cinema, CR Vanguard, Gome Electrical Appliance, Super Star KTV, Super Player, Zara’s flagship store, Top Sports, Impulse Total Fitness, Sunny Sky Inns, China Gold and Bengbengle Family Paradise, thereby creating the first one-stop urban lifestyle center in Hohhot.

The opening of the Hohhot Wanda Plaza will substantially raise the internationalization level of Hohhot’s businesses, changing the business situation in Hohhot and becoming Hohhot’s new urban business center. At the same time, this also creates nearly 10,000 new jobs in Hohhot and generates hundreds of millions yuan in annual tax payment.
