Liu Qibao, member of the Politburo and head of the Central Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, visited Beijing Wanda International Cinema on August 29.

Liu was given an introduction of the cinema, carried out a facility inspection, and gained an understanding about the current development state of the Chinese film industry.

Liu noted the cinema line should strive to meet the needs of middle class consumers, and improve at an operating and management level.

Regarding movie production, Liu suggested fusing art with technology to promote the quality and appeal factor of Chinese movies.

He urged Chinese movie industry to step up global expansion efforts and improve industry personnel quality through training and project cooperation.
